I feel like I have known Blake and Danielle for a very long time, but the truth is, I’ve only known them about a year because they took advantage of an engagement session with me before their wedding day. It’s something I always recommend. I was super excited for their St. Charles wedding at Pottawattamie Park because it would be my first totally outdoor wedding of the season. Originally, the forecast called for rain, but there wasn’t a raindrop in sight!
Blake and Danielle’s wedding day was simply just beautiful. I felt like the day was filled with wedding hacks that I would have never thought of. Maybe I’m just an old head and wedding planning has totally changed, but who would have thought that instead of booking multiple hotel rooms for getting ready for the wedding, you can just rent an Air BNB?! I thought that was genius.
Their rental was large enough to host the entire wedding party, girlfriends, boyfriends, spouses, and even the parents. It even had a gorgeous space in the backyard where we were able to get first look and wedding party photos done all in one spot.
The venue was beautiful. It was at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles, right on the Fox River. By adding their own decor, they made the already beautiful building look bohemian and added their own touch to their wedding day.
