This wedding day was very important to me. At first, it was stressful. June 17th, 2017 was supposed to be the due date of my first born son (at the time, my wife and I didn’t know whether he was going to be a boy or girl). I was scared for my life that I would miss out on the birth of this beautiful baby, but luckily my son decided to hang out for a couple of weeks, literally.

Another reason of importance is that I grew up with Tori Koonmen. Her brother and I were best friends growing up, and Tori was always around whenever we were hanging out at his house. I can remember her being in elementary, middle, and high school. I was honored to be asked to photograph her wedding. I also photographed Tori and Jay’s engagement shoot, and it turns out they liked my work!

But enough backstory: this wedding was beautiful. The venue was a beautiful combination of both outdoors and a quaint, barn feel. The decor felt like something straight out of a Pinterest board. But most importantly, the bride was beautiful, and the couple was in love. It is always my goal to capture a wedding day so that couples reflect on that day and remember the love and emotion that they felt. I sincerely hope I did that for Tori and Jay. Enjoy their wedding day photos!
